While I detest the death of any child in conflicts, it remains that they are vulnerable, including women and the elderly alike. War is terrible and Political activists spur it on as do politicians and the media.
It is a disgrace for Children and captives to be used as bargaining chips. That applies to all sides in the conflict.
Don't forget for a moment that the ANC did the same. Mandela United Football Club (MUFC) and Stompie Mokhetsi Seipie come to mind. Never mind the Saint James Church massacre and the firebombing and burning 14 year old Daphne Hoyi, was badly burnt in Duncan Village.
